Oarweed, also known as Kombu, has a unique deep umami flavour. It is heavily used in Japanese cooking and is a hearty seaweed that is high in iodine and provides a nice mouthfeel to broths.

Make kombu wrapped baked fish. Wrap the the kombu around the fish and secure it with a toothpick, then bake it in the oven.
Flavour your broths, soups and stews by adding a strip when adding the liquid. It gives a nice depth, mouth feel and umami flavour.
