An introduction to Câr-y-Môr and volunteer opportunity
We are thrilled to announce a free, upcoming Câr-y-Môr Members’ Event in May, offering a unique opportunity to learn more about seaweed and take part in a community beach clean.
Câr-y-Môr has teamed up with our friends at EcoDewi to offer members a discovery morning that includes seaweed tasting and a tour of our facilities, followed by a beach clean and seaweed identification session.
Here at Câr-y-Môr we are guided by the Welsh concept of Cynefin—a deep sense of belonging and guardianship of our communities and the natural world.
And our friends at EcoDewi share this passion with us, existing to “try to tackle the climate emergency and the biodiversity crisis whilst simultaneously improving community wellbeing on the St Davids Peninsula”.
EcoDewi is about local people helping with local issues and benefiting its local, natural environment; and that’s a mission we here at Câr-y-Môr are proud to get behind.
That’s why we’re delighted to have joined forces with the EcoDewi team to bring our members this free event which champions and supports our joint concerns for sustainability, wildlife habitats, food growing and community.
