Farmer Relations & Seaweed Biostimulant Partner
Location: Câr-y-Môr, St Davids, Pembrokeshire
Salary: £27,040 per annum - the basic hourly rate is the same for all partners
Hours per week: 40 hours using a flexible banked hours system. This role is full-time but for the right candidate part-time will be considered.
Reports to: Funding and Engagement Director.
Essential requirements: You’ll need a full driving licence and your own vehicle to travel around the county to farms, collecting soil and crop samples and working with farmers.
About the Farmer Relations & Seaweed Biostimulant Partner role:
A unique opportunity has arisen to join the Working Partners of the Community Benefit Society, Câr-y-Môr as it grows its seaweed biostimulant production at its new seaweed processing facility Sied-y-Môr.
You’ll be responsible for connecting and building good working relationships with farmers across Pembrokeshire, trialling seaweed biostimulant and helping to find a bespoke solution for individual farmers to use seaweed to reduce their reliance on synthetic fertilisers.
You’ll be working with our Biostimulant Marketing Partner and an experienced agronomist to find practical solutions as farmers look to protect and enhance the yield and quality of their crops and find ways to improve their soils and ultimately maximise their profitability.
