What to do with all the seaweed?

Our Ocean Farm has 1500 meters of seaweed lines that will produce around 53 tonnes of seaweed each year.

Seaweed is one of the most versatile natural products on the planet and can be used to create bio-plastics, fertiliser and animal feed. It’s also great for us humans to eat too - packed full of protein and nutrients.

One of our key aims is to produce delicious, sustainable and healthy food. This will help to improve the well-being of our community and allow us to create permanent year-round jobs.

We applied to receive a grant from the Net Zero Start-Up Fund for community organisations like ours last year to help support our food product development. We received funds towards our lovely chef, Tara, who has been working away creating delicious new recipes using seaweed grown on our farm or harvested locally.

We now have 8 new products ready to market and are looking forward to introducing the many delicious ways to eat seaweed to our community!

Keep an eye out for our products locally or buy online today.
