Super Seaweed Sessions for young people in Pembrokeshire

Thanks to a grant from the conservation charity Sea-Changers, we have been running free Seaweed Sessions for local school children to introduce them to the wonderful world of ocean farming.

Groups have been learning about different types of seaweed, where to find it and how to identify it in specially designed workshops.

“Our junior pupils had an extremely enjoyable, educational workshop with Lottie from Câr-Y-Môr last week. The pupils made seaweed fertiliser, went on a seaweed scavenger hunt, created seaweed art and tasted seaweed. Thank you Lottie for a great morning!” Broad Haven Community Primary School.

Sea-Changers fund educational, engagement and grassroots marine conservation projects around the UK. Since 2011 they have funded over 200 projects.

If you would like to find out more about our Seaweed Sessions or would like to discuss booking one for your school or community group, please get in touch by emailing admin@carymor.wales or calling 07773 846560.
